XBOX IS GETTING SERIOUS ABOUT PC GAMING! NEW UPDATE DELIVERS UP TO 60% FASTER PERFORMANCE!

Xbox is making a major push to improve its PC gaming experience. Announced November 5, 2026, the latest Xbox PC app update promises a performance boost of up to 60% faster launch times, along with a redesigned interface aimed at making gaming more convenient.

And that's not all!

According to Microsoft, the improvements include:

• 60% faster launches: The Xbox PC app starts up significantly faster.

• 50% faster loading: Home, Store, and Game Pass pages load up to 50% faster.

• 65% faster windows: In-app windows open up to 65% faster.

• Improved game library: Updated filters, simpler navigation, and better organization.

• Better social features: Friends, chats, and party options are easier to access.

• Improved search: Find games, installed titles, add-ons, and friends from one location.

The performance figures are based on Microsoft's internal testing, so actual results may vary depending on hardware, internet connection, and system configuration.

XBOX WANTS A BIGGER PIECE OF THE PC GAMING MARKET

With Steam continuing to dominate PC gaming, Microsoft has plenty of competition. Improving the Xbox PC app is an important step toward making its ecosystem more attractive to players who prefer gaming on Windows rather than a traditional console.

The update is initially available to Xbox Insiders, with broader availability planned for later.

Microsoft is also refreshing its Xbox cloud gaming experience across web browsers, supported televisions, and VR headsets.

FINAL THOUGHTS

A 60% faster launch is certainly a welcome improvement, but performance is only part of the equation. Xbox still needs to deliver the features, reliability, and overall experience PC gamers expect.

Could this be another step toward making Xbox a serious competitor to Steam?
