Players would take on the role of a mercenary hired by a university professor to investigate paranormal activities and unexplained occurrences. Its distinctive art direction and unusual atmosphere immediately made it stand out.

Then came June 2020.

Sony featured Little Devil Inside during its highly anticipated PlayStation 5 reveal presentation, introducing the project to an entirely new audience. Suddenly, this Kickstarter project had the attention of millions of PlayStation fans. Expectations were high.

THE DELAYS STARTED ADDING UP

The game was initially expected to arrive years ago, but its development timeline continued to change. Following its PS5 reveal, another major appearance came during Sony's October 2021 State of Play presentation. The game looked promising, showcasing exploration, combat, survival mechanics, and encounters with unusual creatures.

A 2022 release window was discussed, but that date came and went. Then came another lengthy period of silence. For fans who had already been waiting since 2015, the lack of communication became increasingly frustrating.

FEBRUARY 2024: NEOSTREAM FINALLY SPEAKS

After years of uncertainty, Neostream Interactive resurfaced in February 2024 with a new six-minute gameplay video titled "Despite All." The developer also published an update addressing the project's difficult development journey. Neostream explained that the studio had grown while attempting to develop the game, but internal differences and challenges affected the team. The company said it had returned to a smaller, more closely connected development team with one common objective: making a great game.

The update also revealed that Neostream was entering discussions with potential publishing partners. It was encouraging news, but there was still no release date. The developer promised to provide further updates. Unfortunately, that promised communication has not materialized publicly in the way fans hoped.

2026: THE SILENCE IS BECOMING A BIGGER CONCERN

As of November 2026, there is still no officially announced release date for Little Devil Inside. The game's official PlayStation Store listing continues to show the title as announced, with its release date listed as To Be Determined. There are also growing concerns surrounding the developer's lack of communication.

In January 2026, Spanish gaming outlet Vandal reported that Neostream's official website had technical security and maintenance problems. The publication also highlighted the studio's extended silence and apparent inactivity surrounding its Kickstarter campaign.

These developments raised further questions about the project's condition. However, technical problems with a website and a lack of public communication do not independently prove that a game has been canceled. As things stand, there has been no official cancellation announcement from Neostream.

THE LAST GAME STILL MISSING FROM SONY'S 2020 PS5 REVEAL?

Here's another interesting detail.

In April 2026, Push Square reported that following the release of Capcom's Pragmata, Little Devil Inside remained the last unreleased game from Sony's original PS5 reveal showcase.

Think about that for a moment.

Several years have passed, an entire console generation has matured, and the game that caught our attention during Sony's big reveal is still nowhere to be found.

That's quite a journey for a game that once generated so much excitement.

SO, IS LITTLE DEVIL INSIDE CANCELED?
